2000 Protege LX brake upgrade?

We have a 2000 Protege LX (1.6). Are there any brake upgrades from another Mazda that will work, making more braking power.
My 1999 Nissan Sentra had pathetic brakes until I swapped in some Nissan NX2000 front brakes and now it stops MUCH better. Also swapped Integra brakes onto my CRX. Both required just dust shield trimming, a loaded caliper swap and rotors. I don't suppose any Mazda swapping is that easy is it?

you can swap to the 2000 Portege ES calipers and rotors for a 1" bigger rotor

Cool. My Protege doesn't have ABS, so does that matter? I assume some ES models didn't have it either. Just bolt and go? Thanks a lot!

yes, just bolt on and go
