$%#@&*!! Car!!

(Edited in respect for moderator insistence, with apologies!)

#&$%%$&!!

Alright, this is the second time I've had to waste my time with this car bringing it in for brake service-- With only 22k miles on it.

Last year I had to bring it in because it wasn't stopping cleanly-- Braking exhibited a jerky motion that was very irritating (let alone a safety hazard). The local dealer replaced the pads and machined the rotors (all under warranty), and the problem was corrected for a short while.

Well, several months ago the problem started happening again, so again I've brought it in. Now I have to waste my time waiting for parts to arrive so I can bring it back to the shop yet another time.

I walk to work every day and this isn't even a daily driver vehicle. With such low miles, my driving habits always being modest, and painstaking care taken of it throughout my entire ownership, I expect flawless operation of ALL Supreme Being #%$! components at all times.

I've had half a dozen other things go wrong with this blasted car including the repetitive brake problems, and I'm scathingly angry at Mazda for wasting my time and money with a product that has failed miserably in meeting my reasonable expectations for reliable operation.

I've taken flawless care of this car, always, and all I've gotten for my efforts is an uncomfortable ride, noisy operation, and ripped off time in having to get it repaired every 6 months. I would expect this kind of patronizing quality from the likes of Dodge, but noting it from Mazda, who's in house designed and built products carry a reputation for reliable operation (that's why I bought the Protege in the first place) is inexcusable.

I've hated my experience with this car and, living Supreme Being, as soon as I can afford a replacement I am dropping this piece at my first opportunity. I quite realize maybe I got a lemon, but either way I've been seriously ripped off.

I wish not to inflame anyone else, but I believe I have good reason for being angry myself, and I just had to vent. Thanks for enduring it!

What state are you in, because most have lemon laws, and if you feel your specific car is one, then follow your state law and get a refund, or a new car.

Yea really... If it was me, that car would already be traded into the dealer for something else.

Have you ever heard of the lemon law?

macdaddyslomo January-23rd-2004 03:14 PM

Lemon Law requires a total of 4 attempts for dealer to fix exactly the same problem, 3 by service dept and 1 with manufacturer getting directly involved....doesnt sound like this vehicle qualifies

SOunds to me that this letter should've been directed towards mazda, not us. I understand the need to vent, but if you're going to do it....do it in the right direction.
