Yakima Basketcase on a P5
 

Has anyone attempted to install a Yakima BasketCase cargo rack on their P5 stock racks? I bought the rack, but there is no mighty mounts that are built for the P5. So my ? , does anyone know what mighty mounts will work....

i guess i can go to the rack shop and start trying different mighty mounts.

Is the Yakima Basketcase anything like the Thule Playpen? I have been thinking of getting one of those, but i don't know if I can get the right mounts for my factory rack.

actually the basket case is a bit smaller than the Thule Playpen and the Yakima LoadWarrior. The Playpen and LoadWarrior are 6" tall and the Basketcase is only 2" tall. I thought about one of the bigger racks, but i am not too crazy about the size of the racks. I didnt know how ugly it would look with a 6" rack. If i was to see it on another P5, my mind might change. :-)

I just got back from the Rack store and found out that the 23H Yakima Mighty Mounts will work on the Mazda P5 stock rack. The easy way i found this out was use the 02 MPV, because i believe it to have the same, if not close to the same rack (minus the length).

I am going to try the mighty mounts tonight and see if it will work.
