Will these be a good solution for DRL?
I've found this type of fog lamps online recently. Just not sure if it will fit our P5 or not (replace the fog lamp).
The outer ring led lights seem like a good solution for our lack of DRL problem. http://www.fastvws.com/acatalog/Opti...leyes_fadd.jpg http://www.fastvws.com/acatalog/FAST...ht_Kits_2.html |

Why?
As long the rings are visible in broad daylight I think they suffice to be DRLs. The stock ones use the low beams which I don't like because they shorten the life of the bulb by some extent. |
hey those look cool. like the bmw's demon eyes!
|
if those are anything like the BMW's then they will not work at all for DRL's. they don't put out much light at all, mostly just for looks.

As shown in the follow photo,
http://ebay3.ipixmedia.com/abc/M28/_...d7b579/i-2.JPG there is a vertical ridge extending behind the fog lamp back housing. Do you think our P5 fog lamp slot have space for that ridge? Cause I remember last time when I was puting bulbs into my fogs, I remember the stock fog lamps back housing were flat and smooth without anything sticking out. Anyone remember or have photos with the stock fog lamp being taken out? |
its been a few months since this thread has been active, has anybody tried this at all? kinda curious about quality, difficulty and how it might look.
