Who's getting a mazdaspeed protege?

Just seeing how many people already ordered one? And when is the time the dealer told you that you'll get it?

Sir Nuke December-5th-2002 11:24 PM

Ryde, NOT me.....and don't believe what ANY dealer tells you about when they will arrive...don't believe they are there till you see them with your own two eyes....

and BTW.... Welcome to the club, we are all car lovers by vitue of our nature. We hope you enjoy our company, as we will certainly enjoy yours. Make your self comfortable here in our little "home away from home", feel free to delve into all the aspects of our shared passion, the Mazda Progete.

Please, when you find yourself wanting to ask a quesiton, use the search feature, and/or the FAQ (Frequently Ask Question's) to see if the subject has been covered before.....however....if your specific question has not been ask or answered, OR you would just like MORE details....feel free to post a thread, we just ask that you attempt to put the question in the most appropriate section of the board.

We also have a FOR SALE section, as well as a Vendors Area located at the bottom of the board in our "MARKETPLACE" area..

Thanks for the welcome. I am a very active on the rx7 forum(www.rx7forum.com) myself and this forum seems to be very similar(preaching the search feature, lol). Stop by that forum, there are lots of people there with all kinds of cars, especially mazdas.

well I don't preach the search feature.....you just drew that welcome....you could have gotten the other one...lol it goes like this:

Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to our Club. There are TWO BIG fridge'S in the corner with anything you can think of in them...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have.

make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

I really don't believe Mazda dealerships have their act together when it comes to delivery dates of any vehicle...especially the MSP.
They made me wait over a month beyond what they originally quoted me. Yet there was nothing special about my car. The only excuse they used was the colour and being a 5 speed was very popular. Actually had to wait for one to come over from Japan.
Only thing positive that came out of it was that they gave me a loaner while waiting since I had sold my previous car based on the delivery date.

It depends on the dealership and the people who run it. If they are on the ball, then they'll get their shit done on time. But most slack and lose their prospects. Our owner is insanely strict and so is his dad that origionally owned this place. We have to be on the ball get a pay check and keep our jobs. But that is true for every dealership..not just Nissan or Mazda.

I totally agree that ever customer should be treated this way. I don't know if it's a Mazda thing. But on several occasions I hear of people getting the run around from local dealerships...in this part of Canada anyway. However there is still a chosen few Mazda dealers here that that pride in there service here. I now drive way out of my way just to be serviced by a dealer who cares about my business. Unfortunately I didn't know which dealers provided good service until after I signed the contract. I know next time around I will be inquiring about a dealership before stepping foot inside. Just my 4 cents...U.S. exchange rate kills us. lol

Since this thread never got on topic, I guess I'm not putting it back on topic, but anyway...

I'm getting one. My dealer told me I'd have it in September. Then October, then early November, then late November, then "any day now", now end of December (but if not the end of December the January sometime.)
