What's your tach read at 60?
 

I have the 5-speed, and I'm at about 2700 RPM's at 60mph. What are you guys at? What about the folks with autos? I assume you'll be lower, around 2300... Am I close?

i don't know what i'm pushing at 60mph, but at 73mph (where i sent the cruise at when on the thurway) my tach reads about 3500rpm.

The ONLY thing I don't like about my Protege is the short 5th gear. The engine has enough torque that the car should have a taller 5th for more relaxed highway driving.

yeah i agree with these figures. i know that my '01 is like 3000rpm at 110 km/h.

My 02 Pro Auto is at:
60 MPH - 2600 RPM
60 MPH with OD off - 3700 RPM
70 MPH - 3050 RPM
