Wet inside engine bay

Hey gang...
It has been raining off-the-hook here in CA for a few days now...and I am feeling better and better that I bought the splash guard for my Injen. I lifted the hood today to look at it (yes I am wierd) and noticed that there are water spots all over the intake pipe and other places. This leads me to believe that the big empty spot in our engine bay where you can see the pavement is letting water splash in while driving....

I am not worried about water spots... but those of you who have the AEM intake may want to look into this, because we all know your where your filter is located...right in that space.

Just a heads up for all my AEM powered brothers :)

Anyone else noticed this under their hood?

and The Injen CAI?

Im glad that u had checked that out. I live in Cali too.. (San Diego :D ) and ive been wondering about those peEps who bought the Injen CAI for the P5 :dunno: . So did u notice anything like the cone being wet or something like that ? and did u buy the AEM Bypass Valve to ensure that nothing wuz getting past the cone?... just curious.... anyhow lemme know what ur setup is.. and may be we can meet up some time...
:bt:  :the finge

The Injen looked fine...there were some splash spots on the splash guard...but nothing major. I dont have a bypass valve...and now having endured a horrible 2 weeks of rain/storm/wind....I dont think it is necessary at all... unless you live in a place that gets flooded.

I have noticed some SMALL water spots on the Injen piping. It has been raining constantly here in Eugene for about a week or two. I dont own the splash guard or the bypass valve and am keeping my fingers crossed.
