Vibration on Highway?

Hi, I'm new to this and have a question about a vibration I am getting on the highway. I own a 2000 lx with Touring Package. On the highway I am getting a vibration throughout the entire car. I have had the wheels and tires checked and balanced and have had all the suspension checked out for anything bent. The dealer can't find any reason for it. It even occurs when I have winter tires and wheels on, but not as much as with the stock 15inch wheels and tires. Has anyone experienced this or knows what it could be?

Oh sorry about that. It's around the speed 110 -120 km/hr and up. It would be 5th gear on a manual transmission. Haven't really tried to see if it does it in 4th. You can feel the vibration in the seat and steering wheel and a passenger can also feel it.

Ok...i did a quick check over lunch and it seems like it might be rpm dependent. Not 100% sure, will have take it for a longer drive later. If it is rpm dependent what could the problem be? I'm not sure about the torque of the lugnuts, but the dealer put them on, so I'm confident that they are right.

thanks

Have you ever curbed the car or locked up the wheels when you braked?

If the car has been curbed (or hit a really big pothole or some other obstacle) you may have broken a belt inside a tire. This will usually show up as a bulge or blister in one of the tires, but sometimes you have to spin the tire fast to see if it's not perfectly round.

If you've locked up the brakes really hard, you may have flatspotted the tires, and you're feeling a "thump-thump-thump" every time the car rolls over the flat spot.

Have a tire shop check out the tires. Good luck!
