Turbo Magizine "project p5"

im almost positive i saw this thread somewhere on this forum but i cant find it now and yes i already did a search. has anyone tried to contact area 51? this is the place i belive they dynoed the p5 with the intake and exaust.
anyways i noticed that they said "strapped to the rollers for a baseline test" know this i believe they diddnt take the engine out of the car (duh). the baseline test run they netted 123.9 hp and 126.6lb. ft of torque! this is truly amazing this means that the drivetrain loss is a whopping 5%! if this is true i do believe i have shit my pants. anyways im going to be calling turbo and area51 tomarrow. ill try to give more info on this when i get more info. has anyone done a dyno not a GhettoTECH but a true pull on one? if so can you please enlighten me with what your pulls were. ill try to get my p5 dynoed soon.

yeah i saw that too....

i assume they got those numbers based on what the Clayton dyno 'measured' - or maybe the Clayton dyno determines a 'crank' figure from the roller run :dunno:

IIRC the HKS exhaust posted a decent gain - it looked like just an axle-back setup like the Mazdaspeed....

the articile stated that it was a cat back exaust. i checked out hks usa site last night and had some trouble 1st it showed me stuff for a 87 preludesi and then it should me stuff for the p5 but no cat back or axle back was available. oh well im caling hks, area 51 and turbo mag today.
