tires for a P5

I just bought an '02 Protege 5 with 50K kilometers on it (Im from Canada). anyways, the dunlops are going to need replacing soon, im thinking of getting tires tomorrow or later this week, one of them has a side wall seperation problem and I would like to just get the all replaced and be done with it.

I found a set of Toyo Proxes TPT's installed for $800 CAD funds. The thing I like about them is they are an all season which is nice to have here with our winters and summers with odd weather at times. And they are a longer lasting tire, with a 100k rating on them for tread wear (400 tread rating), since im a student and need them to last awhile.

I am also considering rotating this set of TOYO TPT's with set of 15" Winter rims and winter tires.

The car is just a trip car pretty much with the odd grocery get mission, no hard driving or anything like that, just need it to last a long time, as my '94 sunbird has 300k on it and im worried its going to die pretty soon.

Anyone have any other suggestions?

It sounds to me like your biggest priority is durability. If that's true, then it looks like you've found a nice set of tires. ;)

If you need any suggestions for a summer tire, I can give you a million of em, but for a winter/all season tire, I'd say that those Toyos are the ones. I CAN say that Toyo makes some pretty nice summer tires in their T1-R

[/no help at all]

Get rid of the Dunlops as soon as you can. After 4 models years have come and gone, it's hard to believe there are still some cars out there with those stockers on!
I'm with natey on this one. Those Toyos are a pretty nice all-season.

Thanks for the info guys, I'm taking the car in tomorrow and putting the Toyo TPT's on for $720 CAD installed. Im going to do a wheel alignment on it as well.
