Im getting ready to replace my timing belt, regulat maintanance style, anything else i should replace while im at it?

Yes, I believe it may be in your best interest to replace the water pump while you are down there, iirc.

water pump
accessory belts
coolant
T-stat (I suggest a 180* unit)
upper and lower hoses and possibly clamps as well

Take this time to clean everything thoroughly and inspect everything.

should i replace the tensioner and idler as well?

Yes, you should

just dont take it to the dealership like me...1350 for the major T-Belt Maintainace.

Hey, at what milage are you suppose to do that service at?

I think it's recommended at 60,000

anyone have any estimates on parts costs if i were to do this myself.

Ok kind of a dumb question, i didnt order a new gasket for the water pump, will i be ok to use the old one or should i hold out for a few more days?

Definately wait on that and get a new gasket. You should never really reuse any gasket unless it's in really really good shape, which doesn't happen very often. Better safe than sorry right?

^Yeah. I re-used mine - but i KNOW at some point i will have to swap it out.... [cringe]
