is there a need to rest my ecu?

i was just wondering if there is a need to reset my ecu after changing my spark plugs? i know its a good idea after doing a modifacation with either air or with your fuel levels, but i just diddnt know if i need to do it for plugs.

any time you work on your car, you should remove the grounding wire from the battery. if you do this, then your ecu will reset itself. you don't need to do this for every thing you do to your car, but it helps the ecu re-learn the way your car wants to run.

I used to do it on my Shelby Turbo every few months to dump any bad habits the ECU may have learned. Might help.... cannot hurt.
