Stock Fog Light Question
I have a DX model but want to get the Factory Fog Lights for my car. i called my local dealer and they have a kit. Has anyone else attempted to do this to their DX? Cause I want to know is there anything else I will need to get? I want to have a switch setup in the area where the instrumental panel dimmer is it. Will that cause any problems?
|
Is that switch for the area i want? or is it setup for somewhere else? universal?
|
to add to the question, i'm lookin at a P5, and i want to put DRIVING lights instead of fog lights....is it a common size?

If the DX foglights work as well/bad as the P5s, I would recommend getting aftermarket ones like PIAA instead of the factory ones. You get much better light for the money.
That's unless you're going for the factory installed look... I'm okay with my stock P5 fogs, but IF they are cracked, I'll get PIAAs like the one in the above post :) |
Cool thanks guys.

Stock Fog Lights!!!
I amso glad that you asked that question...I too have a DX, and am also planning on getting the stock foglights!!!
|
I bought the kit from the dealer and installed it myself. All the necessary parts come to make it look like it came from the factory.
If you have any question about the fogs, just ask me. |
is there like a plug to plug the lights into or do you have to run all the wires.
|
There is a plug that is just waiting to be used on the passenger side of the front bumper. All you have to do is connect the wires to the fog lights and then connect the other end to that plug.
|
sick. sounds like a plan.
|
I was looking into doing that also!!! Sweet. I like this place all kinds of info and ideas

Add me to the list of people looking to do this. SedanMan, how hard is it to run the wiring for the switch into the interior? Also, does the kit come with any instructions? Thanks.

Also, does the kit come with any instructions? Thanks. No wires need to be run from the exterior to the interior since they are already present. The only connections you must make are attaching the fog lights to a wire and connecting that wire to the plug on the outside of the vehicle.(outside the vehicle but inside the front fender) Then there are like two things to hook up under the steering wheel but its all plugs. NO NEED TO SPLICE ANY WIRES. Its more expensive than other aftermarket fogs but a) the lights fit like no others do.(on 2001-up) b)its idiot proof to install. Do not pay someone to do it unless you dont own screwdrivers |
