Steering Wheel Position Affects Handling?

Hey all,

Is it possible that the position that the tilt steering wheel is in can affect the feel of the handling of a car? I moved the steering wheel down to the lowest position from its usual place in the highest position, and I could swear that the steering feels tighter and more responsive now, but maybe that's just me imagining things? Is there any mechanical reason that this adjustment could make any difference, or is it just me?

I've got an '03.5 Protegé LX, all stock.

TIA,
Matthew

that would have to do with your comfort spot. depending on your height/girth, the position of the steering wheel will affect your ability to move your arms and hands. work with a position that works best for you. there is no mechanical connection between the height adjustment of the steering column and the suspension of the car.
