I have a 2000 1.6L. 5 speed manual. It has developed a serious power issue. I can't seem to have any power, and it sounds like it has a backfire or a "Lobbing sound" have changed coil packs, wires, plugs. Have had injectors checked, and they seem fine. I checked the plugs when I pulled them, and they looked good (had a light grey tint on them) . It seems that if I keep the rpm's up, it doesn't miss. No check engine light on. Any suggestions?

Sorry ; but what the *** is a "lobbing sound" ? How about posting a video or mp3 of the noise. In any event, have you checked the static timing and checked the catalytic converter and teh rest of the exhaust isn't crushed, damaged or plugged.
