Shifter Problem
 

Okay, i've been driving my Pro 5 for about 8 months now and recently when i downshift from 5th to 4th, sometimes the stick would get stuck between 5th and R and grind. This is not supposed to happen. I read in the manual that there is something in the gear box that prevents shifting from 5th to R without going to neutral first, but what is pissing me off is i'm not going to neutral I just slide it down into 4th but lately it's not sliding smoothly just sticking to the middle between 5th and R and starts grinding. I mean , it doesn't usually happen if i granny shift slowly, but even normal shifting it does that. I'm JUST at my 16'000 KM mark and going for my service this weekend. Anything I should mention to the service department? Anything they should fix/replace out of warranty?

Stuff I will have them check/fix/replace.

-Brakes/Rotors
-Dash Rattle (Tighten everything)
-Rattling Windows when they are halfway down on the highway.
-Supposed "PCM reprogram fix" for cold engine rattle.
-Shifter bushings .. ??

i've had a similar problem yet slightly more severe. i had my car towed this morning to take it to the dealership because my transmission got stuck in 3rd gear. i could move the shifter around in neutral and it was still in 3rd gear. i have a 2002 ES with only 6,730 miles on the ticker.

there really is only one answer to this....get your car to the dealer.
