Salesman talk

when i purchased my pro i mentioned that i was prone to After market parts. my salesman told me that the only intake i could put on without voiding my warrenty in Injen (the most expensive) and the only exhaust i could do is mazdaspeed. now i've never heard of warrenty issues like this. have any of you guys? dont get me wrong i'd love to get those but i can get a much better deal with an AEM intake and APEX exhaust.

what do you guys think?

A VERY useful link. If you don't want to wade through all the legal wording, it basically says that the warranty cannot be voided unless the part you installed has a direct relationship to the part needing service. So say you installed an intake and exhaust, then your radio broke. They would have to fix it because the intake and exhaust did not affect the radio. I think your dealer is full of it! :)

I thumb rule I go with is
If I play with it, then the warranty is off
regardless of how minor or major it is(of course talking about the part that your are changing)

However, I never heard of an aftermarket intake that doesn't void warranty

hope that helps a little

you know, with all the aftermarket stuff being installed
I don't think you should be worried about warranty for those parts, they are easy to install and remove
