Replacement Spark Plugs for a 2001 protege
Just wondering what type, or brand of spark plugs would be the best since Im prloly gona change them soon since I reached the 48k plug change limit in the manual (yes Im being anal about sticking to the manual). I know I can get them from the dealer but wanted to know IF there is a difference in brands as to longevity or performance.
Would changing the wires on the plugs also help or just the plugs themselves??? 2001 1.6L Protege. |
Get the stock NGKs and buy them at Autozone or someplace similar, not the dealer.
Any kind of "performance" plugs are a complete waste of money. As for the wires, if they are in good shape no need to replace them. |
Would the size of the plugs be listed in the manual or would I have to check with a shop or auto parts store?

If not, parts stores should definitely have the info. They should be @ ten bucks or so for all four. |
