Questions from Protege n00b

Hello, I've got a few questions about Protege's as i'm hoping to learn a bit here.

First off, I drive a Cavalier, not a Protege. I came here cuz my g/f just got herself an 03 Protege DX, Auto. Now mentions that's like to 'do stuff' to it. Probably cuz I've got a few things on the cav. Thing i'm wondering is... everything I see as far as parts says Protege 5, but to my understanding the Protege 5 was based on the ES platform, so does this mean that those parts will also fit on the DX model? I'm just wondering how I can find little things so that she'll be happy and not whine to me about getting stuff for her car. Ya know.

Second of all, for her b-day, I got the normal girly things for her, but I also got her one of those Ebay intakes for it. Seems to work decent, but there's little problems with it. First when she puts the car in D, the engine rocks back (amazing how far it moves too) obviously. It pulls the intake pipe back into the brake cylinder and makes a vibration in the pedal. I adjusted it, now it'll rattle on something else under the hood. From what I was looking at if there's any sort of performance motor mounts for the car, it will definately solve the problem. Anyone have any suggestions on this, or maybe how to remedy the problem without mounts? And if I go with mounts, (i know i got one for the cav that just rattled the hell out of the car) is there any sort of Prothane mounts or anything that would restrict engine movement, but at the same time feel similart to having the stock mounts in the car?

Thanks for you help
...Jason

any mount that is going to do anything is going to make your car buzz a little. It's hardly a trade-off though. Get the AWR A/T mount (front should be fine) and be happy.

p.s. I have the ebay intake as well and have no rubbing problems at all.
