Protege mp3, and Protege 5 turbo and performance mods

Hello to all Protege m3 and 5 owners. I am here to introduce may self to to your forum. We currently have in developement turbo kits, exhaust, and many other performance mods for current Protege's. Our experiance of just 3 of the individuals involved is over 50 years. We also have individuals who we are consulting with who have had direct ties to mazda in the past.

I want to emphasize that our interests are as Mazda owners from way back. Our personal cars and collections range fromthe earliest Mazda R-100's, RX2's, RX3's to all of the RX7's, GTX's, Miata's, GLC's and now the Protege 5 and MP3. Some of these cars may be unfamiliar to some but all are wonderful pperformance cars of Mazda's past.

Now lets cut to the chase, what we are doing is developing what you want and need. We know that performance products for Mazda's outside of the RX7 is very limited, but we are in a position to develope and offer what you want. At this time we are looking for input from you the owners of Mazda's most exciting introduction in years.

Please email me at my personal email address stevenrsharp@aol.com and let me know what you want. Leave the following information: Name, address, email address. We need this information to you directly. Also feel free to ask questions about your cars, our experience with the FP and FS engines are extensive.

Please pass my email to all MP3 and Protege 5 owners we need this information to meet your needs

Steve, I'm not certain if you are checking back on this board for replies to your post or not, but I sent you an email some time ago regarding this post, and have yet to receive a reply. I'm sure you have received many inquiries regarding your proposed turbo kit, so I know you will need some time to answer them all. If you should check this board again, maybe you could post some infomation here, which would relieve you of answering each email individually. I know for certain many '99+ Protege owners, as weel as '93+ Probe/MX-6/626 owners with the 1.8L FP or 2.0L FS engines are very interested in a turbo kit for these cars. We have heard of several custom turbo installations for these cars, but so far no one has produced a kit. There may be some in process, but your offer to produce a kit is the most direct information I've heard so far. If you would please post some specific information here about the kit, cost, applications, timeframe, etc. it would be greatly appreciated.

agreed

I know I sent Steve an Email straight away but, I'd be just as happy to read a genearalized reply here. As long as I can read some thing soon. It's not right to tease us like that :D . Hopefully, we'll hear something soon. There are things I'd like to spend money on but, I'm saving $ for the possibility of a turbo kit. I hope I'm not saving in vain.

What would have to be included with a Turbo Kit? (P5)

What would have to be included with a Turbo Kit?

Higher flow injectors?
Higher flow fuel pump?
Different mass air sensor?
Different throttle body?
Reprogrammed computer?

This kit could over $4000!

Further more.....transmission handle?

Further more.....transmission cam handle the extra power?

How much can the manual handle?

How much can the automatic handle?

We won't know what's included in the kit until they get close to completing it. It depends a lot on how the car responds. As for the trans, your P5 has the G15M-R transaxle which is considered the stronger of the two front drive transaxles Mazda uses. It should be OK for this kit since the same basic transaxle has been used on the stock J spec 200 HP KL-ZE V6 engine, as well as the 210 HP 323 GTR version of the BPT engine. The F25M-R transaxle in the '95-'00 1.8L and I think all 1.5L & 1.6L Proteges is another story. I don't really know what else that transaxle has been used with, and don't have much information about what it can take.

I still havent gotten a reply from MazdaSteve nor can I figure out who his company is. I e-mailed him like a month ago asking about stuff with no reply yet. Anyone else got any actual replies from him or know if his company has a webpage or who they are?

Knight turbos

I haven't see the kit in person but Knight Turbos down here in Miami has been making kits for the 2.0 626 for a while. I called the guy and he said a couple of people have already bought his kit for their MP3 and installed it with minimal changes. Mostly routing for the intercooler. Their site is <http://www.knightturbos.com>
Hope this helps.

Mitch did you check the links Jeremy posted above. It explains some of what you are asking. Thomas Knight Turbos doesn't have the greatest reputation in several of these on-line groups, so we are hoping for some other options. Corksport is also working on a kit now apparently.
