anyone know where I can find a bypass valve for a cold air intake? i need one really bad

And, if you don't find one there, check Nopi. That's where I ordered the one for my Neon. Remember that this valve will cost you a hp or two on a CAI, and avoiding deep puddles is just as effective in not destroying your engine. Also note that this is not necessary with a SRI.

those bypass valves cancel out any gain you get from a CAI...they are worthless, except for maybe peace of mind....get one of those splash guards and stay out of puddles deeper than 12" or more

Agreed... water intrusion will not occur unless you have vaccuum. For this to occur, the filter would have to be submerged such that air cannot enter into the intake, thus allowing the vaccuum to be strong enough to suck up water. Imagine the kind of suction you would need to drink a soda through a straw the size of an intake.... stay out of the puddles and you'll be ok. I have experience with and without the bypass valve, and I fully agree with Macdaddyslomo that it will take away some of the gain from a CAI.

well im just really worried about it happening again because i didnt go through a huge puddle, a semi truck went by an that was the end, an causes me to drive paranoid. so iz basically for peace of mind, however, where are these splash guards?

ya im finally back up an running got it running again bout 2weeks ago.
