Part numbers

Hey guys, I know I may get flamed for this but I just don't have the time. I need to get the part numbers for the tein s tech springs and the tokico hp struts. Would that just be the part numbers itself? And that those names are unique and won't get mixed up with anything else?

Tokico HP Shocks
Front Left&Right: HB2223/HB2224
Rear Left&Right: HB2225/HB2226

Tein S-Tech Springs
SKM46-AUB00

Those part numbers are for a Protege5, I assume your suspension is the same. Good luck with the purchase, I suggest you keep checking eBay often. You can get the Teins for about $170 shipped almost all the time, and a whole set of Tokico HPs for about $400 shipped. Check http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TOKIC...spagenameZWD1V for the shocks and http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TEIN-...spagenameZWDVW for the springs.

And the product names shouldn't be mixed up for any reason. As long as you specify that the shocks are Tokico "HP" instead of Illumina and that the springs are Tein "S"-Tech instead of H-Tech you'll be fine.

Protege5 you say? I have the sedan. Well actually I have a FAMILIA from Japan. I know the springs will work for sure. So the part numbers for the Protege5 and Protege are different?

KrayzieFox October-16th-2005 10:39 AM

No, they're the same as far as I know. I'm just saying I know those numbers work for sure on a P5. I think some of the other members that own sedans would be able to give us more support. Well guys, do all 3rd gen Proteges regardless of sedan or hatchback have interchangable suspension parts? Or for those of you familiar with the JDM Proteges, will P5 shocks & springs work on Amrit's car?

Yeah guys, help me out here please.

Is it ok if I just get the springs and shocks alone or will I also need a swaybar and maybe other things for this setup to work properly?

KrayzieFox December-18th-2005 09:33 PM

Swaybars would help, it's not a must though. It would definately contribute to better handling, but it doesn't necessarily render the shocks/springs useless withoug them.
