P5 pricing?

How much have paid for your Protege5? Can you get it at invoice price?
If I can get an invoice pricing plus 2.9% for 60 months that would be the best deal. :)

you gonna buy from Brown's Fairfax Mazda??? I work like 5 minutes from there!!! I had my 15k maintenance done by them. Seems like a pretty tightly run dealership :)

hey what's your friend's name at the dealership? I am thinking of ordering the Mazdaspeed muffler from them, maybe he can hook me up with a discount?? :D

oh yeah, don't ever EVER do business with Rosenthal Nissan Mazda in Tysons Corner, bunch of bastards

I got mine for $15,681 but I had other circumstances working in my favor.

Everyone there is a friend of mine. I spend lots of money with them all the time. E-mail if you need help on prices for parts. About Rosenthal I worked there for a short time and I agree!

Seen them @ Holiday Auto in FDL on the lot for 15,285, although these were 2001's, still a new car

how much im getting mine 4

2002.5 mp5-pure white
4speed-tiptronic
6cd changer w/cassette
carpets & rear cargo mat & net
preforated leather (black)
sunroof & deflector
side airbags & ABS
wheel locks
factory alarm with perimeter protection
16" chromes with dunlop
& all other factory options
all for 19,500 (dealer invoice)

tell me if you think this is a good deal, b/c the sticker price is 22,500

purewhitep5 June-16th-2002 07:54 PM

oh i almost 4got

i also got this self dimming mirror
rear bumper guard
so i got every possible option

the guy selling me the car said the lowest he could give it to me for was 20,000 without tax. so i walked out, and then the manager called me saying he could sell it for 19,750 b/c they had to make something over invoice, then when i went back i talked the dealer into giving it to me for invoice, but the rep who i spoke to before was upset, he was like to the manager "we cant sell it at this price" and the manager said "yes we can"
and at least 10 times the rep kept telling me "you know youre stealing the car right" and he wasnt joking around it looked like he was deeply upset.

mopho June-16th-2002 08:08 PM

It is likely a ploy, they sell cars everyday of the week, do you really think you can beat them at their own game. A great saying: "Las Vegas wasn't built on winners" rings true when buying a car. If they didn't make money how could they afford to keep a big inventory, let alone the lights on. A friend who owns a Mazda dealership told me that if you can get it for $100 over invoice you are doing okay, so if you can get it for less than invoice...
In the end what matters is that you are satisfied with what you paid and it is what you can afford

purewhitep5 June-16th-2002 08:17 PM

well then im good

b/c i paid 100 less than invoice, thanks for the info
its just i dont wanna sign 4 it, and then find out i got
"beat in the head 4 it"
but thanks alot
and i am definitely satisfied with what i brought b/c
when i left the lot, this guy in the supermarket around my way had a silver 2002 (not .5) mp5 and paid 21,000 before taxes and didnt have half the stuff i did

mopho June-16th-2002 08:37 PM

if you go to www.edmonds.com they have a true market value calculator it will tell you what the invoice is and what the TMV is, which according to them is an average price for your reigon of the country

shayshay June-17th-2002 12:52 AM

I got my re-fresh model in early May......sport-auto, leather, 6 cd, sunroof w/deflector, floor mats, wheel locks......no alarm....regular rear view mirror.......and paid about $18440(after $750 rebate).....this is before taxes etc. I got mine through CarsDirect.....that's another place besides Edmunds to check prices......their prices were below invoice....at least in my area.
