My P5 manual also have only The place of the bulbs, and their wattage! called local mazda dealer, they only have the "Part #" of the bulbs, and NOT the types of bulb. Here's what i know for sure. P5- Low=H7 High=9005 Signal light in the headlight housing=1174 or in japan=M-14. so here you go! and one last thing- These info are not in TFM!!

It's nice to know that the Protege5 online community thinks totally different than the moderators. Thanks for your help everyone. It's much appreciated! Now I can get some LED turn signal bulbs (and play around w/ something to slow down the blinking once installed).

[begin rant] Regarding what toomanytoyz had to say, I tend to agree with it. While the long time posters and moderators of this board have probably answered many of the questions time and again, that doesn't excuse being rude to new members (or is that n00b's?)

New members (n00bs?) are the lifeblood of any forum because they help it grow. Copping an attitude isn't going to help that whatsoever and eventually it'll be you and your friends just like you. What's the point in that? [end rant]

On another note:

P5Freak, that blinking is supposed to happen. When one of the bulbs burns out, the resistance changes and you get that fast blinking. When you replace the light, if you replace it with LEDs, make sure you match the original resistance or the same thing'll happen.

One more thing. I checked my manual, being bored just like TheMan, and discovered that, unfortunately, it does NOT indicate the bulb codes. Perhaps the Protege manuals ARE different between the States and Canada. I think crow is on the menu for certain senior members and moderators...:D
