P5 Headlites really that Bright?
Hi all. I drive on alot of dark, country roads. At least once a night, some other on-comming driver flashes their headlights at me as to say, Hey, your high-beams are on...thats the thing, they are not!! So, I flash my beams at them and wonder how they liked that. This ever happen to anyone esle? Or, are Mass drivers just blind! I usually drive at night with the lower lights on too, maybe thats what they don't like.

ive had it happen to me before too.....the stock lights are just that bright.....good thing too....gotta be able to see.

I also get that often. I think it is because the reflectors on the car are very good and real shiney. It must reflect the light off alot more efficiently. I was going to upgrade bulbs, but I might not now.

Its a matter of adjustment on the lights. Just take your car back to the dealer and explain to them whats going on they "should" adjust em at no cost.
|
i get that also but you know what screw em?!
|
Heh,.. I'm not adjustin anything,.. every time I drive 2.5hrs to my moms there's this one length of road ,.. I always bet my wife "how many times will I get flashed THIS TIME?"
LOL,.. it's great to have such good lighting. |

Don't mess with your headlights unless you need to. Re-aiming them is easy to do but a pain if you want it exact because it's a lot of fiddling around. |
ROFL, classic!
When I drive to visit my family, its around 850km drive... I get this all the time as well, mostly on hilly areas. They beam me and I beam them back with twice the power!! LOL |
Happens to me almost every night. I love it! Makes me feel proud in a weird way. Don't adjust them. They are fine. :D

interesting .. now if only had a mirror attached to my hatch as to reflect all the lights of trucks at suvs back at their faces i would take this car to the grave with me
|
hahaha say word.

I've been highbeamed so many times now it's like screw them, and give it back. I bought some silverstars for the lows but they don't fit. The elements in the stock light seem bigger when looking at them side by side, so I'll stick with them.
|
If you bought H7 bulbs for the P5 they should fit. Remember to take off the plastic base off the stock bulbs, and then put the Silverstars onto that base.
Everything should be fine if you did the above. |
H7 has a little notch that will make the headlight high or low.
I cant remember what position the notch should be though (top or bottom), to make the beam high or low. |
