P5 exhaust, will it fit?

Is the design of the exhaust for the P5 related to the vehicle's shape or to the engine? I'm about to get a 323 hatchback with a 1.6l engine, will a P5 exhaust work?

As far as I know it relates to the vehicle shape - it's distance from the rear axle to the bumper. Shorter on the P5 vs. the sedans. I can't say I've come across any info on the differences between 323 hatchback/P5. Past experience with exhaust conversions between North American and European models (Nissan 240SXs) wasn't a problem, though the Europeans were running 2-liter engines vs. our 2.4-liter, the piping was the same.

In both cases, knowing how big they were in comparison to a Protege-5...I'd have to say absolutely NO.

I've got Protege gen3 -99 and in Europe it was ( and it still is) sold as 323 hatchback. So I wouldn't be so sure to say NO

Actually, my car is exactly the same (looks wise) as the P5, minus the bodykit and the taillight's design, I was just asking if the exhaust is related to the engine ( 2.0) or to the car's shape. Mine is a 1.6l.
