p0171 sytem too lean bank 1
new maf, new o2 sensor bank 1, wtf, why does it keep comming back...... i can notice from 2000 to 3000 rpms sometimes it feels like i loose power, but as sonn as i give ti more gas it is fine, i am guessing it is leaning out therefor the code is set, i keep erasing it from memory , but i am about to bring it to mazda and let them screw with it since i cant do my own exteded warrenty work at my dads shop..
i have sri and resignator is cut out on exhaust, have msp axleback exhaust. anyone else have this problem.. |
here are some possible causes: Fuel system, Induction system, EGR system.
Check to make sure you have no vaccum leaks and no air leaks after the MAF. Also check the injectors. |
when i had CAI the probelm was really bad, and i changed the maf and o2 sensor, problem went away, 3 weeks later it startin comming back so i switch to sri because of what a friend said to do, it went away again, went on a road trip to baton rouge 2 hour drive, the car kept bucking slowly back and forth, hence loosing power .. but regaining it quickly as soon as i gave it more gas, no problem.. i am about to through my stock intake back on to see if that is the problem..

i had the same problem with my ebay CAI, short ram, and the injen CAI too. I also wasted a lot of money on o2 senors and maf and the same. I was always getting the problem. So i just put back the stock in take with a k&n drop in filter and you get more power then the intake. The 1.6l motor seems to have problem with intakes. Try making a gasket for the maf, to make sure it make a good seal.

i put my stock intake back on , no more problems, took all the air ducts off of it so it is loud as cai so i am happy..
to my suprise i have moer power on the low end and same power at high end.. go figure.. |
glad to see you fixed it.
