overdrive problem and brakes
 

2 problems occuring in my 02 mazda protege ES with 40k miles.....

firstly i think i need the brakes looked at or regular maintenance on them...sometimes when its cold and i go to stop and i press the brakes smartly if i need to stop quickly...the brake light will come on for a moment or then stay on for a few minutes. seems to stop when it warms up out side.

second, i noticed when i press the 'overdrive' button on my automatic shifter, nothing happens. it seems to have no effect on my engine and the overdrive light does not come on (always off no matter how much i press the button).

i also noticed a decrease in gas mileage.

Check your brake fluid level.....

fluid level is good

my od is the same i had it to the dealer and the switch was gone.
