kmaalfiisa March-8th-2005 07:29 PM

trading motors with jesse james... just kidding

well its either a 1.6 or 1.8 litre dohc

basicly 100- 160hp depending if any work has been done. port and polish

dont call me stupid. (off topic)

but what engine do you have?

kmaalfiisa March-8th-2005 07:36 PM

you wanna know about your car, but now.......

its simple look and snoop type things.. before i bought my car (simelar to yours 99' protege dx)

i was all over the moter and under it figuring out quite a bit..

first on the motor should say what litre it is on its cam drive cap (thingy)
for displacement your looking for "cc's" right?
i dont have a clue but ask the gurus of this forum sight (macdaddyslomo, roddemusprime)

PM them.. you will get a straight forward information (with a few questions asked)

Phantom Cruiser March-9th-2005 11:52 AM

20s? For everyday driving? I don't think so....

Roddimus Prime March-9th-2005 01:50 PM

most likely a 1.6L engine rated at about 120bhp or so.

Please

Don't

Do

It.

macdaddyslomo March-9th-2005 01:57 PM

120hp, lol I wish!

Wow...OK on a 99 LX the only engine option is a 1.6L ZM-DE 105hp 107lb-ft of torque...20"s will NOT fit without other modifications, besides who the hell makes a 4 x 100 20"...also if you did fit 20"s what the hel are you going to do ?? Tow it down the road ??
As far as swaps, screw swaps!!!..look at a Hiboost turbo kit....
