Newb '00 pro

hey guys n girls, just picked up my 00 protege, 5 spd. last week.
just wondering what type of aftermarket mods i can use to up the ponys.
I had an acura 3.2tl before this so i need a bit more juice.
the 3.2tl had 230hp, got it up to 250 kph a couple times on the highway
this pro kicks off at 190 kph. so i need something under the hood right now to get me through the winter. so if all you guys could help a brotha out that would be killer.

thanks again,

Dons

You want to go faster than 118mph (190kph) in a (Canadian?) winter? Save it for the summer!

Seriously. There are a lot of great mods available for this car, everything from intakes to cams, cat back exhaust to headers, underdrive pulleys to full turbo kits. One of our guys is building up a supercharged 2.0L car. Do a search on this forum, to see how our experiences with different kinds of and brands of parts stack up, per your expectations.

And, welcome!

which engine 1.6L or 1.8L

1.8L, and yea i guess it is a canadian winter that would just be abuse on the car. but right now theres no snow where i am. kind of a bad buzz.. thanks for the advice man. i was planning on doing the car up in the summer just trying to figure out what type of stuff i should throw under the hood. turbo sounds real nice along with some headers n an exhaust system. any one know about the chips available for this car?

thanks

wow, you are a newb, huh ?? no such thing as turbo AND headers...no "chips" available...please do some research before asking any more questions....look up towards the right and hit that SEARCH button :crook:
