New to the P5 family
Hi, everybody. I'm picking up my Sunlight Silver P5 at 10 am tomorrow. Just wanted to say hi.

No doubt. I took a good sleep and good shower in the morning before going to pick up my P5 :D

I just traded in my 2001 Audi A4 for an 03 yellow P5 two nights ago. Contgrats. :)

Got my 03' P5 the first of the year and i look forward to driving her every day. I am getting a new job and will be driving much less during the week. Might have to do a little longer commute to the new job, which is 5.1 miles from my appartment. I do about 55 miles of driving at the job I have had for a while. Congrats though.

First of all, good color choice.
Second...are there any plans yet? You into tuning and modding? Performance? Show? Any way you like it, stick around! We're glad to have you. |
Hi LuxNova and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to our Club. There are TWO BIG fridge'S in the corner with anything you can think of in them...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have.
make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom don't care....and take it easy. oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here. Welcome!! |
It's good to be here. This seems like a nice little online community. I absolutely ADORE my P5. Props to Jan Bogdan ant Ridgefield Mazda. He's great. The handling is as close to perfect as you can get in a FWD car. All the roads by my house are narrow, twisty wooded roads. Blasting through them is beyond fun. :D <---That's me driving my P5. I love how it's what the VW GTI used to be-practical, sporty, and a blast to drive. As for what I'm into modification wise, I'm into a balance of Show and Go. I'm already dreaming of 18" Anthracite SSR Competitions. The handling feel is great, but I would like to give it a bit more mmmmph. Any suggestions on where to start?
|
If you are looking to give it more "mmmph" the first thing you need to do is decide if you are going N/A or forced induction. Sounds like a simple decision but it takes some good thinking over. Once you decide that, other members can provide better help more suited for you. Good luck and happy modding :)

If you're looking for a little more 'oomph' in the handling department, you can order the Mazda MP3 struts, springs, front and rear swaybars, and strut tower bar which pretty much will make your car MP3-spec as far as the suspension goes.
The mazdaspeed protege suspension kits are also out. |
I got my car from Ridgefield Mazda too.
They're a good dealership, and should anything come up that needs to be done under warranty, they're super quick and handle the paperwork really well, their service department is awesome. Are you ever around the Danbury, CT area by chance? I am always out and about cruising.. :D Enjoy your car! |
You'll love it, I just hit the 1000 mile mark. 10 days and it will be two months old.
