New here :) 01 protege

Hello
Looks like a great forum you have here! I just bought a 2001 protege LX 60,000 miles on it for $8,500, great condition. Manual 5speed. I am really looking to spend a couple grand on the car, like a spoiler, new back and front lights (similar to the stylish look of the mazada3 back lights) and then work with the interior a bit.

Any ideas and thoughts on a the spoiler, rear/front lights? I am new modding cars and will need all the advice I can get.

Thanks for your help!

Zack

Welcome new owner!

Congrats on the purchase. I suggest the mazdaspeed factory body kit or either the Postert body kit I'm selling in the vendor section. It really depends on how much you want to spend and how unique you want to be!!

If you need any performance parts or brakes let me know. I'm afraid the body kits and some dash trim are all I sell for cosmetics. There are other vendors in the vendor section who may have products for you!!

Welcome to the forum, have fun with the search button...
I can't help much with cosmetics, though. Any money I have (which isn't much) will go into performance mods.
And check out my new thread in the off-topic section about why this is the best (but probably
'quietest') forum!

Hello and welcome, I think youll enjoy this forum. The guys here are very helpful, and most of the time can help get good deals on stuff to buy. I didn't do anything until I asked what when and how. I have always gottin a reply.

A few vendors sell pre-painted (factory colors even!)OEM style spoilers on eBay for what seems to be a bargain, but I read the feedback, and for every 19 or so happy campers, there's at least one "never again, what a rip-off, lousy paint job, never recieved item, etc etc" reply, so I'm not sure I'd go there. Just my luck I'd be that 20th guy. Whether you know it or not yet, you have one of the best handling "out of the box" FWD cars out there, with very high Fun To Drive ratings by every single automotive press out there. enjoy
