Need to change my P5 brakes, first time in 6 years :), recommendations?
 

Need to change my P5 brakes, first time in 6 years :), recommendations? I like to shop at O'Rielly Auto Parts. They sell BrakeBest and Wagner brand. I also shop at Advanced Auto Parts. They sell Bendix and Beck/Arnley. They also offer different materials, non-asbestos, semi-metallic, and ceramic.

Any recommendations on a brand that comes close to what I have already?

What type of material?

Note, I am not the type to mod my car. Most of the stuff on my car is OEM. The biggest expense on my car has been headlight bulbs which seem to go out every 6-8 mths @ $15 a pop. :)

It would be worth it to go Hawk HPS - less dust - a little more stopping power.

Lube the pins! Use brake caliper grease - i didn't and they seized after a while.

Any local stores sell Hawk HPS? What material are they made from?

Also, what pins are you talking about to lube? Any tutorials you recommend for changing brakes? This will be my first time changing brakes on a car :)

I just had Mazda value line pads put on my p5. Still grouchy that I couldn't do it myself-- the curse of the condo dweller. They seem to be good. No noise to speak of, relatively low dust.

Im going to call my local dealership tomorrow and see how much they sell them for.
