My NEW Short Ram Intake!

Well, i just did my first mod. Installed a Short Ram Intake to the car and MAN what a nice sound she makes. Purchased from e-bay for $21.99 from XO2RACING.COM. Here is the link..

Sounds Amasing. Looks Amasing.. BUT.. here is a bit of what i Had to deal with...

1. I Am Canadian (Hence the name). Shipping was quotes at 16 us.. THEN i had to pay another 17 us. Was not told why.. thats just what i had to pay.. SO kinda pissed about that.. Good Side. Did not have to pay brokerage fees!! WOOT. Probably where the extra money came into play, but it would have been nice to know that.

2. Look at the picture of what you get.. Not what i got. Pipes NOT bent like that at all, extra brackets, No plug in chrome looking tube either.. Mind you it COULD be just a general picture.. was NEVER told that.. Was told "what you see is what you get". Horse Shit.

3. NO INSTRUCTIONS. Mind you I am not stupid. But still.. you ship a product, add instructions for the more simple minded people.

4. What the hell are these extra parts for!?!? They are not on the picture... Put 2 and 2 together.. you get 2... *grin* You can figure it out if you take some time and look around.

5. No where did it say you had to bend ANY metal.. To mount the Short ram i had to bend the STRAIGHT brackets (no bends like the picture) to mount the intake so she would not bounce around and fall apart. Once again, being mechanically inclined, this was not a HARD task.. TOok some measurements and brute strength to bend it properly but she fits!!.

All in all, even though you get a bunch of parts not shown, and bunch of parts are not there, and all the parts look different then the picture.. Its installed and man does it sound nice. Turned heads and put a perma-grin on my face.

If anyone purchases this product and needs help/instructions i can take some snap shots and message them to you. IF you need help. Dont think you would.. But just incase..

Take Care.

eh, its ebay, whenever i buy something like that off ebay i always half expect:

1) something to be missing
2) something to be broken
3) something that was NOT described in the auction
4) not to receive said something at all :p...

sounds like you made out pretty decent, 21 bucks is pretty cheap for all the stuff you got, and at least your happy with the result :p :bt:

the picture shown is exactly what I received off ebay. It was $38 shipped to my door (USD). I also had no problems installing it without instructions. VEry pleased as well. Now I'm running the Monster Flow filter instead of the last 90* bend. So far I've been very pleased.
