just smashed my civic into a telephone pole and purchesed a new mazdaspeed protege. I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions on a good blow off valve for it? And its my first brand new car and i hear your supposed to let it break in before you really start to get on it, how long should i wait? Thanks

To properly break in an engine rev it to the redline for about 10 minutes and turn it off. Keep doing this untill black smoke starts billowing out. That's called "BREAK IN SMOKE" and is very good for your engine.



Or stay easy on it for 3k miles if you are really carefull. I went easy on mine for like 1000.

make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

I seriously hope you are smart enough to ignor Pluto's first part of his post....he WAS just kidding afterall.....

keep your RPM at a reasonable level and don't drive for extended periods of time at the same rmp.....varry it up and down....IF you find yourself having to drive on the highway....drive for 60 for a bit then 70....then back down to 65....then....etc...you get the idea.....take it easy for at least the first 500 miles.....after that....

Drive it like you NORMALLY would. but just rememeber...it WILL break. Treat it like it deserves to be treated.
