MP5 Headlight white socket?
My original driver's side of headlight socket melted, and wires are burnt out.
so good friend zmzmp5 fixed it with custom job. but it didn't last long. I don't know why. bulbs are in perfect condition though( sylvania cool blue) so,I got a copy of the 2003 official collision&estimating reference guide from bombero69 to find out parts number. unfortunely, they didn't have parts number for headlight socket with harnesses. I could only found black round shape plastic(B28V-51-0A3) that between connects bulb and headlight socket. anyway, I have called local mazda dealer BUT, they told me they have to see the problems to see what parts are need to be replaced. so, my question is does anyone know where I can get (white)headlight socket to replace it? or is there a universal headlight socket? help~~~:) |

good luck
HI ..
I got the same problem for my headlight too. I think you can find a H7 socket at autozone or car parts store. Another way you can do is connect (solder) the wire direct to the light bulb. GOOD LUCK !!! :) |
yeah well the protege 5 uses an H4 socket for the H7 bulb. But since it only uses 2 of the 3 slots it will work just fine. The protege sedans use H4's if i am correct. and the wagons use H7's for regular and 9006 for high beams. The H4 socket at autozone will be fine. I have like 2 extra here if you live in houston i could just give them to you.

Thank you guys, I'm going to try autozone or pepboys tomorrow
and either look for H7 socket or H4 right? |
its definitely going to be a H4 socket, because of the little adapter on the end of the H7 bulb to make the connectors larger.
