For those that don't know I've been in and out of the hospital all week with blackout spells and intense headaches. My work thought that was too much and decided they needed someone who would work 6 day weeks forever and not ask for time off for a death in the family or medical emergencies. Needless to say we parted our ways and I don't think they'll be selling me the hardware at the same price I was getting it before. In order for me to get it now I'll have to pay cash upfront and a much higher price at that.

If this is something you guys still want to do let me know and I'll see what I can do about buying it at wholesale instead of cost. I can't make any promises but I'll try.

Sorry to hear about that Matty. I've been wondering where you were for that last week or so. But I'm a little confused. I thought you already ordered the hardware. Anyway, how much will the price increase if you have to pay retail? I'm still willing to do this if it doesn't break the bank.

basically I have a charge account set up through napa. I ordered the hardware and it was billed to my account. 2 days ago I checked my account and it shows it was never billed. they probably went in and credited the account before closing it.

This is why I'd need the money upfront in order to pay cahs for the hardware.

Hey Roddimus,
check out the FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993). there might be a violation there

In the state of alabama there are no laws about termination...unless they came oiut and said they fired me for being white, male or straight there's nothing I can do about it.

You can be terminated for any reason at any time without warning.

I'm not bitter...this is just another oppurtunity for me to move towards my dreams.

I just wish theyhad sent me the hardware already....I could've been done with this already.

The state of Washington is also a right to work state, and employers can terminate employment basically at will, but they cannot terminate you because of health reasons. You should check into what musiclikscreams said. I believe it's a federal act, and superceeds state laws. Just a sugestion, but you might want to look into it.

Either way - You are in my prayers.

If you need moola up front - how much? A deposit of $100 would be resonable (to me) but i would want to know the new total cost.

thanks, man....deal is off but it MAY not be totally dead. I was working with Ken @ p-garage on this and I've turned everything over to him. If he decides to go ahead with it then it could still happen.

spotthedogg January-9th-2008 01:16 PM

Any updates?

Da P-Funk! January-10th-2008 07:31 AM

Uhm, safe to say 'no'.

It was just a wonderful dream, i guess...

mazdaspeed777 January-16th-2008 02:51 PM

Yah, Ken from Protege Garage bought all his stuff. So if you want this done you should talk to him.

Roddimus Prime January-18th-2008 12:12 PM

no, Ken didnt buy anything from me. In fact he's stiffed me on a $500 TMIC for my car. He owes ME money.

Da P-Funk! January-29th-2008 07:35 AM

So Rod, if you still have the hardware - why not re-start this project?

The need for it is still out here...

It could at least minimize the loss if the equipment is just 'sitting there'....
