Missed 2002.5 Changes?
 

As you may know, my girlfriend just bought a Vivid Yellow P5 (see post here for details) and I noticed that the gauge faces are not white like mine, but a "titanium" color. I thought it was just the light at first, but I looked really closely and saw that the faces are indeed a metallic silver color. Also, the interior trim pieces have changed to an actual silver, instead of the pewter that mine has. I put my car and hers side by side and double checked, and there was indeed a color difference.

As well, her's being a 2002.5 shouldn't she also have tweeters, different rims, and sidemarkers as well as the new cupholders? I'm thinking that that's the only change the Canadian cars got. (Cupholders.) Anyone care to clarify?

Don't tell me, MAXX MADZASWOMEN too??
 

I have one too Nick. I believe the lady has a 2002 like me before the sidemarker edition came out. The only difference are the cup holders (which are deeper than the previous model, not to mention there is no cover flap either), I believe the silver guages too (instead of the white ones), and I know the inserts are more silver too instead of pewter colour. I believe that's it. See you two on the 7th in RD!:D

Yep. I know for sure that Canada doesn't get the sidemarkers or new style rims.

Thanks for the clarification, but I (we) won't be able to make it up to Red Deer for the meet on the 7th due to work. Maybe some other time though!

that is a late production models of 2002 protege 5. silver gauages instead of white, deeper cuphoder without flip. 2003 models add side markers, new style rims, tweeters, black housing headlight instead of chrome, leather steering wheel, leather shift knob ( big one), carbon fiber look door bezel instead of silver, sport auto instead of regular auto.

Not saying you're information is false, but just curious on where you got it from?

Went to the Mazda dealership on Saturday to get them to remove my wheel locks off of my MX-3 (My key busted) and I checked out the 2003 P5. It's exactly as Atenza described, looks real nice. I'll probably go in this week and put an order in for a Laser Blue Mica, I was going to get a Yellow but after seeing this colour i changed my mind.

Are the 2003's more expensive than te 2002's?

all my infos are 100% correct because i work in dearlership as simple as that. 2003 p5 msrp increase $290. auto $1300 instead of $1000. no other price increase!
