Mazdaspeed Protege In Lime Green
 

Ever wonder what it would look like? I was bored and decided to do one up in a bright lime green color in Photoshop. I'll be experimenting with a few colors over the next couple of days to see what it'll look like, but so far if this color was actually available, I'd buy it in a heartbeat! It's a "love-it-or-hate-it" color for sure, but think of how big yor eyes would go seeing this thing in traffic! :eek:

I'll be taking requests, but I've got a busy schedule so it may take awhile to get them fulfilled.

I would buy that before I bought that shitty orange. That green rules.

Although it would sure draw attention to Mazda.

I like it but I think it might be one of those colors that would be too much after awhile..

Yeah... It looks good in concept, but I'd really like to see what the car would look like after two days of highway bugs and road dust...

And as I'm in an area where I can't wash my car because of a three year drought, I'd like to see what that car would look like after 2 months of rainy weather.

I would trade my ES in tomorrow if the MP3 came in that colour. You would really stand out in a crowd. I was always kind of partial to the Neon that came in lime green.

I think this colour would have more interest than that orange. What were they thinking??? Can't say I know too many people that are looking to buy an orange car!!

I LOVE LIME GREEN!! that rocks!! in fact I had a custom coupe that I built and it was lime green metalic....the color really grabs a lot of attention.

if the mp3 and p5 were available in that color I would have picked that over the yellow.

I think i would pick the orange over the green, though both would be tiring after a year or so.

traffic, if you saw the new orange in person and up close you might change your mind....might that is....I have seen it...I don't like it...IF it were the deep monochromatic orange that it APPEARS to be in some of the pictures...I would love it...but its not. Its a somewhat pale when the light is directly on it and its not a monochromatic color...it has a sort of pearl coat on it....I personally just dont' care for it and if I had to make a choice between that and the black....well...it would be a very hard decision....Black cars are a real bitch to keep up and looking nice. It would boil down to the lesser of two evils I think.

While I love a car that stands out, I'm not really feeling the green. Also, while MP3Steve disagrees with me on the Spicy Orange (he likes it, I could do without) the only orange car I've seen (new models) that I really liked is the Snap Orange Turbo Beetle that came out last year. Only my opinion, but I REALLY wish they'd make the Mazda Speed in the laser Mica Blue or the yellow like they did the mp3. Those are both awesome colors!

Glad everyone "liked" the lime green! ;) Any requests for other colors? Later tonight I'm going to do a white one with gold rims, followed by the black mica. That will be a hard color to match, because if you've ever seen it up close it's actually more of a metallic dark-grey. I'll see what I can come up with though.

I did the protege in a metallic gold color, much like the new Focuses (Foci?) are offered in. I personally hate this choice, but I'm sure there's a few out there partial to it. You'll have to scroll down to see the gold car here.

the GOLD is fugly....you did a nice job photoshoppin...but the I hate the color.....

I hate gold on a car no matter what it is. something about it just looks trashy or something.....

I just did the Protege again in the Black Mica color it will actually be available in. I tried to get it as close to the metallic black / dark grey that it is in real life, and this is the best I could come up with. Take a look here.

I think the green will stand out, but I would never go for that color..It was cool at first, but it seems everybody and their mother has painted their cars this color unfortuneately :( Or atleast around here..

P.S. I still like the orange, totally dig the black, but i agree that the gold is fugly. sorry. good job in photoshop.

I can picture a ricer with a "Kermit Racing" decal on the side :D

Thats close to the color I had my Mounntain Bike painted, only with a little pearl, Not sure on a car though. How about British Racing Green?

And I haven't forgotten about coffee, still slammed at work, still workin' my days off!

The Gold looks like the same one that Honda uses.I don't like it on them,I don't like it on one of our own,but to each their own.
How about salmon Pink?Or Barney purple?Maybe Plaid?;)

Yeah, I hate the gold too, but It only took me about 10 seconds to do, so I just posted it anyway. I just finished the car in bright red, white, and yellow. Let me know if you want me to upload them! :p
