Mazda Theft System and Keyless entry
 

Does anyone know if the reciever unit for the keyless entry (BJOE-67-5D2) on the 2002 Protege is bypassed when using the Mazda factory security system. I'm trying to understand if the factory security system has it's own internal receiver or if you still need the keyless entry receiver to trigger the security system when using the remote transmitter. I'm attempting to add the Mazda factory keyless entry system to my car that already has the Mazda factory security system and need to understand what need to be added. I have the keyless control unit (receiver) and the Mazda keyless transmitter (key fob) and the relay for the door lock timer. I'm trying to understand if anything else is needed. Currently, you activate the security by the external lock on the drivers door (turn counter-clockwise).
