M3 Side Mirrors

Hey Folks,

Any of you try those M3 power mirrors on your P5? I am looking at getting a set, but want to know what some of your experiences are to date. Thanks a lot!

I orderd the m3 power mirrors, but had to send them back because the blinker lights weren't functional. I feel like a kid waiting for x-mas. When i finally get them painted and installed i'll post a pic.

I'll be interested in seeing your results. Hope it all works well for you!

Widebody... did you do the installation yourself? I've been playing with the wiring and can't get the right combo. either everything is completely opposite..or i push right and the mirror goes down. What is the correct wiring?

Finally finished the mirrors, although its 11 pm. I'll try to take pics tomorrow or sunday. The mirrors are backwards (you push left, it goes right). This seems to be common when installing the M3 mirrors. I may take the switch apart and try to re-wire that to fix the problem, or I may just live with reverse world. In any event, the wiring for the blinkers is so extremely easy. All you need to do is take a small flathead screwdriver, and wedge that in where the rubber booty goes through, feed the wire through (be careful not to cross the window track). Then there is a tiny slit, through which you can feed the wire towards the front of the car. Pop off the side marker assembly, and tap into the non-black wire, and VIOLA, you have blinkers.

Had to crop the picture because it was too big, but here's the daytime picture.
