lemon law?
 

im pretty sure everyone here signed on when they financed their car. i took my car into the dealership for the second time today for my rear windshield washer nozzle leaking. they said that they talked to the mazda corparation and they have never heard of this problem.

my problem is under heavy load when i shift into 2-4 and sometimes 5 gear my rear windshield washer fluid leaks. they are going to call again on monday to see what they can do for me. im really wondering what they can do for me. if i understand this law correctly dont they either have to give me my money back or switch me cars with the same kind? if this is true i have doubts they will be finding anothervivid yellow p5. somewhere or someone told me that these are in very high demand and dealerships dont want to give theirs up.

do you think they will replace my ride with a 2002.5 refresh modle? that would be dope. another question what about all the stuff ive done to my car already? do i need to give that stuff to them when i get a replacement?

You only qualify for lemon law if your problem affect the safety of the car or it substantially decrease the resale value of your car if not fix properly. I don't think a leaking nozzle does either.

And depending on the state you're in, the dealer has 3 chances to fix a serious problem. If the problem occurs again then you have to notify the dealer and the manufacturer in writing for a final repair attempt. If the same component fails again then lemon law kicks in. So the same component has to fail five times in total before they'll refund your money or put you in a new car.

AND you have to have documentation of all the failures too...

however...this leaking washer nozzle has come up before....and I don't remember who it was...but the dealer replaced the nozzle and it fixed their problem..... worst case....the dealer doesn't fix it....how often do you REALLY need or use this feature? if the answer to that question is "rarely ever" and it really doesn't make a difference to you if you have one or not....find the tube that feeds it from the supply tank up front and crimp it off....problem of water running down your rear window solved.

I don't really think they're going to give you a new car because you have a leaky window washer jet. Worth a shot though.

Tell us you are joking. You think you should get a new car because of that? This problem makes you suggest your car a 'lemon' because you have been to the dealer twice? This is not a high tech problem. There are lots of yellow P5s on car lots, but I don't think you are in any position to demand one. And why would you so desparately want a 2002.5 anyways? For the silly side markers and coverless cup holders and different wheels? These thing are causing you to get so 'creative' with the lemon law idea?
