Kartboy Help

Just got my Karboy shifter and bushings and after reading through detailed instructions on both installs I am a little confused. Which one should I do first? Are there two different places where I am doing these installs? in the pictures it looks like two different places under the car I am replacing parts. thanks in advance.

check out my post in this thread, it says how to install the bushings, and yes they are in two totally different locations and are independent of one another

If you got the instructions for installing the shortshifter, (I assume you have by the sound of it) follow those, then do the bushings after, or vise versa, but yea, check out my post on installing bushings, i think i cover pretty much everything:cool:

im definitely interested in changing my tranny fluid. Is it just a matter of finding the plug, draining and refilling? any advice would be most helpful..

Check out the 3rd post down, it gives you a schematic of the engine/transmission and shows the location of the drain/fill plugs

You need: 3 qts of Redline MT90
pump (i got a $3 valvoline oil pump from kragen)
23mm socket (i had to buy one) its big
you get under the car, unbolt the drainplug and drain just like normal oil
the sketchy part is when you have to fill it, you have to go in through your engine bay, look down right under your airbox (you may need to take it out, mine was already removed) you will see the axle/tranny on the front under the main point is another bolt, you can barly see it if you are looking inside the engine bay, feel around it is the same as the one under the car.
Unbolt it (make sure u put the other one on first) and use the pump to systematiclly pump the new fluid in, arm gets tired after a while, but good stuff, also be carful not to get any on your paint

once that is all done, bolt it back up and put ur airbox back in and try it out (2.9 qt's fills it) i donno how much i got in mine cuz i spilled alot :( but yea, thats about it
much more comlicated then a normal oil change, but you only really need to do it once and the car will shift alot smoother

hope this helps!:shift:

Would anyone have a picture of these two plugs? I think I found the one to drain for but I cant find the one to fill for the life of me
