TIMING ADVANCE MOD

All vehicles have an Electronic Control Unit (ECU)—a computer chip that electronically manages and monitors your car's performance—that is made according to government regulations. That means that your car could be going a lot faster and getting more power if you replace the ECU. A racing "Piggyback" (this means it connects to your exsisting ECU) ECU upgrade can cost over $500 (Jet Chips, Venom 400 chips) and a ECU replacement can cost up to $2000 (HKS, A'pexi, AEM)! It really isn’t worth that much money. This mod is a fraction of the cost of those expensive ECU upgrades, and can do the same exact thing!

Like a "Piggyback" System, this mod will modify your stock ECU with a Timing Advance resistor. This resistor connects to the car's ECU by replacing the Intake Airflow Temperature (IAT) Sensor. Once the resistor is installed, the ECU will read that the air coming in through the intake is cold air; think of it as a "default" setting on the ECU. When the ECU reads this, it increases the air/fuel mixture—in other words, it will take in more air, and then add more fuel to compensate for the extra air coming in; thus, producing more power and advancing timing 1 to 2 degrees. Because the engine is creating more power, it will need more fuel; so the fuel economy on the car will decrease 1 to 2 miles per gallon (MPG), but definitely not more than 2 MPG. Get rid of that government regulation chip and release the potential of your engine!
