ok another questions... i'm just doing some research.... I heard that the protege is 98% japan made or something like that... is this true with the 2002 model or only older models?

When I was going to buy last summer I was going to have to order one no one had one, and because they come from Japan it was going to take 4 months so I had to go south of Milwaukee to buy mine because I had to have one right then and there!!:blue:

Straight from Nagasaki I think that is spelled right. Yeh and corollas are made in the US I think Birmingham AL. I love our country but Japan makes more reliable cars than we do.

You are the man about where cars are made:) You are right. One queston:confused: Please tell me why my 2002 Pro 5 says that the final assembly was in Hiroshima:confused: My point about the corolla is that is made in North America not Japan. Usually the higher priced models are made in the origin country ex Volkswagon Jetta (Mexico)Passat (Germany), BMW (3 series S.C. 7 series Germany), Mercedes, Lexus(Toyota), etc etc. Thanks:) We all are wrong some of the times
