Jacking up whole side of car

I just bought one of those DIY brake caliper paint kits. I'm just going to jack up my car (2002 Mazda Prtotege5) in my garage and do it myself. Can i jack up the car using 2 jack so i can do a side at a time instead a wheel at a time. For example, 1 jack lifting the drivers side front wheel and another jack lifting the drivers side rear wheel which in fact gives me thw whole drivers side being jacked up. The 2nd jack needs to be compatible ofcoure. Is this ok or is it a big no-no.

Thanks
TDK.

I've done it with my truck. I used a floor jack to jack the rear, then put a jackstand under the drive shaft. I lowered it onto the jackstand and then jacked the front up and stuck a jackstand under there as well.

Us autocrossers do this all the time. I just use my Mazda jack and lift from behind the front wheel. With my big rear bar, the rear usually comes off first. If you use a floor jack, protect the pinch weld (the body seam on the bottom of the car. When I use a floor jack, I usually use a 12" piece of 2 x 4 to spread out the load just inside of the weld. Alternatively, use a piece of 2 x 4 grooved cross-grain to fit over the pinch weld, so that you don't fold it over.

you can pick up the whole rear of the car by jacking it up with a floor jack placed right under the little wedge looking piece that sticks off the bottom of the rear subframe right in the middle.
