intermitent problems with o2 es
 

hey everyone new to the boards

so heres the situation my wife has a protege 02 es with 51k km's and she is having an intermitent problem it is usualy when its colder out she will be driving and the car will just start to chug and its a bigger problem on the freeway in rush hour with stop and go its like the car wont shift out of first and just chugs and chugs
anyone have any ideas oh yeah it never dose it when she takes it to the dealership

My 2003 Protege sedan with 2.0 is doing something similar in the bitter cold. In stop and go traffic (beofre the car is completely warmed up, mine will "jump and skip." This happens at very low RPM's. The problem disappears once the car is warmed up. If you find out anything let me know!
