MY 2000 LX COMES WITH A STOCK INSTRUMENT PANEL WITH BLACK FACE GUAGES. IVE BEEN DYING TO SWITCH EM FOR SOME WHITE FACE GUAGES. NOW IVE BEEN THINKIN ABOUT FINDING A WAY OF GETTING A 2001 EX INSTRUMENT PANEL WITH THE WHITE GUAGES AND SWITCHING IT FOR MINE. IT MIGHT SEEM KINDA CRAZY BUT THERE DOESNT SEEM TO BE ANYONE MAKING WHITE GUAGES FOR THE '99 OR '00 OR ANYONE ELSE WITH THE STOCK BLCKS PANEL. :( PLUS I DONT SEE Y IT WOULDNT FIT. I DONT THINK THEY CHANGED THE INSTRUMENT PANEL FOR THE '01 PROTEGE. DOES ANYONE KNOW ANYTHING??????

I'm assuming you know that there are indiglo gauges with white faces available for the 3rd gen Proteges, and you don't want those. There are a couple of companies that will make custom gauge faces in whatever color you want also. The '01 gauge cluster should plug right in to the '99-'00 dash, but since the cars are so new, where are you going to get the gauge cluster? The dealer is going to be expensive, just for getting white faces.

I've got a '99, and always wanted white guages, but NOT the indiglo ones... just plain white...

Check with MMR. http://www.mmrusa.com/ Their costs range from $95 to $130. They make gauge faces for the '90-'94 Proteges already.

I think it would be better to get the ones off a '01 es but how much u think that would cost from the dealer?

A lot more than $95. :)
