I think I did something bad

It recently snowed so I decided to go to an empty parking lot and mess with my car on ice to find out how it handled in snowy conditions. And of course I pulled the parking brake a few times. Ok, about 15. On the way back to my friends house my car was shaking. I didn't think pulling the parking brake could make a car do that. I didn't hit anything when sliding. I thought it might be the rotors but the stearing wheel doesn't vibrate and it doesn't get worse when braking. Could it be the alignment?

Also how long does Mazda warrently things like alignment or rotors? I only have 6500 miles on the car.

My guess is that you have snow packed into your wheels/rims. Clean them (espicially the inside) and it's gonna be fine again.

Does anyone know if the rear brakes are self adjusting? Perhaps now your rear brakes are dragging?? :dunno:

okay..its been at least a day since you did this....is your car STILL acting the same way? if so....did you check your rear wheels for packed in snow like the other guys suggested?

whatever you do...IF you take it to your dealer...do NOT tell them you been power sliding around some parking lot somewhere....

Thanks guys. I haven't driven it today but it is parked in a heated garage so all the snow should be gone. I really hope that it was just snow packed in there. I was so pissed at myself last night. I kept thinking I broke something and would have to pay to have it fixed. I'll let you know later if it was just snow.

Last time I checked, the ES had 4 disc brakes.

Its been unusually warm here to. The last few weeks its been in the 40s-50s. This was the first snow of the season and it was only a few inches. Usually our first snow is in October.
