How to open side mirrors
 

Well, to be to the point, I'm going to paint my black mirrors stock silver and want to separate the the various pieces- only what I hav-e to though. I'm usually quite good at breaking things apart, but not this time folks... how can I separate the side mirror pods safely? Thanks in advance!

I'm not exactly sure what pods you're talkin' about but is that the triangle things on the inside by the door?
